kubernetes - Would the latency of a persistent volume claim on Kubenetes make my service unavailable? -

within why gce volume mount in kubernetes pod cause delay? is:

but when pod has gce persistent volume mount, running state reached somewhere between 20 , 60 seconds.

so example when doing rolling deployment, mean there 20-60 seconds of service being unavailable?

when rolling update, pods not teared down @ once. service not interrupt. , question pretty old, k8s have many improvement ever since. in case(gke latest k8s), (re)start delay short.
