Copied C9 Workspace with Rails app, PostgreSQL service won't start: permission denied -

i copied c9 workspace functional ruby on rails app, , can't seem postgresql service running.

running command:

sudo service postgresql start

returns error:

the postgresql server failed start. please check log output: 2017-08-15 06:50:57 utc fatal: not remove old lock file "postmaster.pid": permission denied 2017-08-15 06:50:57 utc hint: file seems accidentally left over, not removed. please remove file hand , try again.

after deleting file manual , running again:

the postgresql server failed start. please check log output: 2017-08-15 07:01:45 utc fatal: not access private key file "/etc/ssl/private/ssl-cert-snakeoil.key": permission denied

i'm guessing need setup permission access postgresql, i'm not sure how that. ideas?

fixed running command:

gpasswd -a postgres ssl-cert

and started postgresql server , worked fine!
