mod rewrite - how to make fake URL in apache site? -


i have apache site, lets domain example.com.

i have directory example.com/test.

i make enter urlexample.com/test see fake url, example: instead of example.com/test see site.com/page.html

not redirect, change url, possible?

there inherent problem attempting do:

1 - user requests example.com/test

2 - user redirected example.com/page.html

3 - server shows user page.html url tries server /test

now, achieve step 3 server request /test, user did.

this cause same redirect in 2 , lead 3 again.

so end in infinite loop, apache detect, kill , serve 500 status code (too many redirects).

what need instead this:

1 - change urls on site page.html

2 - add rewriterule serve /test resource:

rewriterule ^page\.html test
